Klas Krantz

Long-time Contributor Klas Krantz has been posting on M4CG for many years and shares an extensive catalogue of music for guitar with other instruments. His music is beautifully engraved, rich in editorial detail, and reveals his knack for working out difficult arranging challenges in a musical and technically successful way. Or, as he says, "My goal is the perfect score!"

A little more about Klas, in his own words:

"I’m musician and musicologist from Gothenburg, Sweden (EU). My specialty is arranging romantic Spanish music. The instruments I arrange and compose for reflect much of my own musical background and taste. I’m basically trained as a classical guitarist but I also play: flute, recorder, tin whistle, piano, mandolin, ukulele. I love the great classics like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven; but also early modern music like Debussy, Ravel, Milhaude, Hindemith and Stravinsky. I also have a soft spot for jazz and Swedish and Irish folk music. In my complete catalogue you'll find wide selection of arrangements of popular classical pieces by the great composers. My arrangements are suited equally well for concerts, weddings and education."

Some of Klas' more popular scores include:

The Swan (Cello and Guitar) - Camille Saint-Saëns

Spanish Dance No. 1 from La Vida Breve (Violin and Guitar) - Manuel de Falla

Eight Short Pieces by Mozart (Flute and Guitar)

Cantique de Noel (Guitar Duo)

Ave Maria - A Major (Voice and Guitar)
