Years ago I arranged this piece for flute, guitar and viola; since then I have made a number of versions culminating in this arrangement of the entire piece for flute, oboe and guitar - I can finally cross it off my list! Schubert was a melodic genius and the flute and oboe really get to sing; the guitar part provides the gentle ambiance upon which the melodies 'float'. Sing pretty!
