"Gently Does It" is a meditative piece for flute and guitar. The flautist plays the expressive melody whilst the guitarist plays sustained, arpeggiated chords throughout. The players are asked to play 'gently'. The directions are minimal. The players will find the appropriate balance and their interpretation of the ebb and flow of the music. The piece is subtitled...."a meditation".....and the aim is to project a feeling of calm.
